1949 44 row crop the question is what is that under the seat? is it a hydrulic arm for a mower or single arm lift. there is a foot lever on the right side that seem to be stuck.does it run with the pto engaged?

Be careful if you engage, because when the arm moves in it's circle, it can smash your foot if the shield is not on (if you have your foot back there) Almost happened to me while in the field on my 101jr.

It's a mechanical lift that runs off of the PTO. It was use to raise and lower the mounted cultivators. If you try to remove it you will need to pull the PTO drive shaft out the back of the tractor as it runs right through the center of the lift mechanisum.
