I have a 50 somthing model gas powered 35 ferguson, its only job now is a small garden every year. This year i got it running but the lift will not come up, fluid is pumping. When you pull the leaver up, the lift will not move, however if you realease the leaver it will drop back down. I can feel pressure on the leaver..... .any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Charlton, Drain rear end oil down to just below bottom bolt on r/h cover with trans oil level dip stick, remove covers six bolts. work hyd pump control valve lever in and out to determine if valve is sticky. if no results, remove transfer cap, (rectangle plate with two bolts) located at front r/h of liftcover and remove pump standpipe.check o,rings and back up washers on each end and replace with new ones, replace o,ring in cap also, its same size. refit pipe, i use a phillips screwdriver that fits neatly inside pipe and lower through hole into top of hyd pump, use a light through side plate hole to make it easier. bobt on cap and retry. try this first. cheers buddy!!!

Sibby, Thanks a million, Took the cover off and could see the linkage bending instead of moving the little roller linkage. I gently tapped on the roller linkage and freed it up. Working like a new one now. Next time your in town let me know, I will buy ya a coors-light, again thanks,
Charlton
