I'm stuck in the farthest field trying to bleed the fuel system. Undoing the fuel line from the pump gives nothing when the priming lever is pumped, but I get a good squirt of fuel when I crank the engine. I don't have a diagram so wondered if anyone can suggest what might be wrong. Cranking is fine, of course, but not when the battery sucks :-)

try turning engine over by hand on cooling fan till you feel lift pump arm is getting stroke, could be pump lever is riding on cam lobe and right in so primer has no stroke left. should work!!! cheers!!!

Thanks Sibby. Two fuel filters, a bit of pipe, two jubilee clips, a gauze filter for the fuel tank, your advice and we are up and running.
