I have a MF35 1963 with hydraulic problems. Even with open outlet from the pump it hardly gives any oil. What could be the problem? Any filter that could be blocked?
Thanks.

I had a similar problem with my loader action getting slower & slower until it died.

The filter was blocked...not too much of a job...
drain the oil from the xmission.....get to it by removing the round plate which has the PTO control in the middle....the rest is obvious...cut the retaining wire on the butterfly and unscrew....the filter is actually a pleated metal screen.....again, it will be obvious....blast out the crude with an air hose and then scrape out what remains at the bottom of the groves..withanything sharp...I used the back edge of an exacto blade....reinstall and be certain to replace the aircraft wire on the butterfly..... .filter parts in the gears are not welcome....send an e-mail if you want more info

Bjorn... I have seen them so full crud in under the pump that the pump couldn't get any oil.

There is a very good video by J@S productions ($30.00)that takes you through every step (with great explainations) of a pump overhaul. Sometimes all you need is cleaning and a few simple parts. It's really not much of a job. I have went through several of them. E-mail me if you would like their address.
