I am considering buying a 444 for $3500. I know nothing of the Massey Harris except this is a 1956 gas with PS, and no live PTO. The engine is Continental. What is the HP of this tractor? Is the 444 a good model? Anything you say will be of help. Thanks, Allen

If considering, and know nothing of 444's, that's
a premium price for a 444. No mention of 3 point,
service history, tire cond, size, sheet metal intact, input shaft noises, paint, rim rust. This is a great 52 HP tractor, to someone who knows the classic Triple 4. If in Virginia, that pricey
mistake has been on the market for a year or two. Unless you can produce an MH expert to check
this tractor closely, you are paying the price of
a great 444, but may actually be getting a money
pit. Do not buy blind at 3500. No deal.

Why the heck are you running down a machine you know nothing about? Must be browbeat.

Thank you Velvet Ride. It is in Virginia and probably the one you are aware of. I got took on an Oliver 550 last year and would hate to repeat my mistake. Thanks again. Allen
