I am considering purchasing a 1967 MF 2200, it is the construction model and has the #200 stamped on the I.D. plate. it has a plate over the P.T.O. shaft area, a cover where the P.T.O. engage shifter is located and missing the 540 R.P.M. handle. My questions are as follows (1) Can this tractor be fitted with the missing parts? (2) Would this be a simple bolt-on job or would this be a job where the rear-end would need to come apart...i.e. many hours labor/high cost as I would have to have a shop do the more involved job.(3) Ball park idea on the cost of the used parts? (4) Are these parts interchangeable with other MF2200 models...i.e. ag. models so that I would be able to find them? (5) Name of used M.F. salvage yard who might have these answers? Thanks, Berkins

Hello, My father has had 2200 with hoe since it was new. I have the manuals and a fair understanding of the machine. I am re-doing the machine this year with paint and motor work. It is fustratating not being able to get decals for it. I would also like to add a PTO but it has the shuttle clutch. The manual mentions the PTO for the 6speed and manual shuttle clutch tranmissions but does not mention it for the shuttle clutch trasmissions. I would like to add a PTO so if anyone has any info or knows of a parts tracktor I would love to hear about it. I will be what help I can, I do have a good memeory of exactly what was and was not orginal on this tractor.

Unfortunately, I can't answer any of your questions. But, I wanted to tell you I bought one last fall, and have been working on it ever since. I would like to see any answers you receive. Mine has a loader and backhoe, but I was wondering like you if you could get a PTO, etc. for it.
Right now, I'm trying to rebuild one of the steering cylinders to take care of a hydraulic leak (one of many). If you don't buy it, would you mind telling me the asking price? I'd love to get a parts machine for mine.

VRY;

Can you MF 2200 owners please post your tractor pictures in the "Tractor Photos" on the home page. I just purchased a MF 2200 with loader and backhoe and posted the picture. This is my first machine and I'm waiting for some new parts and fluids before I start working on it. I have little input now, but I'm sure I'll have and need lots of info soon. Thanks

GavinJ, The tractor I was looking at sold on Iron Planet for $2200.00, however you should go to Iron Planet.com and read the report on this farm tractor, it was auctioned off on the 3rd. of June. This tractor was in terrible mechanical shape. Good Luck, Berkins
