165 diesel Engine-Sell or Keep?

I have the original engine that came in my 1975 165 Diesel. I replaced it with a complete engine that had low hours, so now I don't need the 1st engine. Should I try to keep it, or sell it to someone that needs one to rebuild? I think all it needs is a rebuild kit, an exhaust valve, the injector pump and injectors checked, and of course the normal machine shop work required to do a correct rebuild. I was thinking of putting it on E-Bay, but have heard that was a pain. I was thinking of keeping it, but I think it could still rust, even under the shelter. I've noticed the salvage yard prices for any of these parts or the complete engine is way up there in price. I am wandering if I just got lucky when I found my replacement engine? Are these hard to find?

Your advice on this will be appreciated!

Thanks in advance; Barney

Hi Barney

Time passes...parts will be rare and expensive
if you have place to store it I suggest that you
keep it for spares for your tractor. If you need
the injector pump or other part in the future
you will be happy to have it. No search...no wait...and the better....no $$$ to spend.

I kept a TEA-20 stuck engine given to me by a neighbor 10 years ago..I already take the water pump...clutch assembly the governor and the head to put on my TEA-20. I was very happy to have it aside.
