Hi

I recently purchased a MF-135 the 3 point hydraulic worked fine. I changed the oil in system refilled with PERMATRAN III (M1129) original MF oil. Now the 3 point is jerkey
enough to shake all the tractor when an implement is attached. The 3 point lift capactity is OK
it can lift any implement and hold it but jurks.

Checked the control linkage synchronization = OK

Does somebody had experience with kerosene rinse
or other solutions other than remove the pump and repair. Tractor is equipped with independent PTO
I will have to split the tractor to reach the pump.

Thanks in advance

Bert CA

Hi Bert a jerky lift is usually caused by an intake or discharge valve or valves not seating or a busted ring on one or more of the pump pistons. Sometimes if the Draft Control lever is not in the fully raised position when you are using the Position Control lever it will cause this lift problem. If I can be of further help feel free to Email me

Bert, Dont flush out with kero, if you do ,do not run engine, kero is a cutter and will chop out your pump. Did your tractor lift o.k. before you changed your oil?, if it did is the oil you put in thicker and starving your pump for oil and causing it to lift in spasms. keep us in touch as to how you go. regards, sibby.

Hi Sibby

Thanks to take time to post a reply...

Yes the 3pt worked perfectly before I changed the
oil. The old oil seemed same viscosity as the new one except for slight milky appearance. The IPTO works OK..the lift is strong but jurks. May be some air bubbles had caused oil kiks in one of pump chambers and caused a input or output valve stick. I think I will try diesel fuel I will
run the engine one minute to circulate fuel in
pump and let it soak for a week and drain it and
refill with oil. Nothing to lose If no success
I will have to remove the pump anyway.

Will let you know....

Thanks again !

Bert

Bert, you may have a lot to use by putting the diesel in; better check with Big Dean to see if the diesel can ruin something. Do you have real MF manuals? If not get all 3 of them: Operator, Repair, and Parts. Don't get IT brand manuals, get MF from your dealer.

Diesel will not hurt anything, have used it myself hundreds of times with no ill effect, if you run engine and drive the tractor, try to run it for no longer than say 5 minutes, but soak as long as you want. regards, sibby.
