My 3 pt is acting up. last night while moving round bales, I went to pick one up and the 3 pt would not lift. I messed with the draft and lift controls for a while and it finally started working again. It did this a couple weeks ago too. According to the dipstick, the hydro oil is a little low, is the filler plug on top of the tranny? Have any of you guys had this problem?

Hi Bruce I suspect your master control spring is letting the plunger the top link hooks to pull to far out this will stop the control valve from opening to raise the lift arms this is quite common on those tractors. You probably have some bales that are heavier than others when you get one of those is when the lift will not lift. I have run across this several times. E-mail if I can be of further help.

Thanks Dean, Do you have a procedure on your web site explaining how to fix this? Does the tractor have to be split?
