just pulled on sunday and two other 44s went 20' further they both wide rear tires mine our narrow does wider help that much??

Look at row crop tractors and dune buggies. Look at the tread and tire width. (yeah I know the tractor tire is narrow to get between the bean plants, but that is only one reason).

What I have seen of tractor pulls is that you are on very loose dirt/sand. Need a dune buggy type hootus to get traction.....fat with small tread grooves. Otherwise you wind up in China....via direct. (dig a hole)

it all depends on track conditions I have seen all varieties win. also depends on weight class.
