I am in the process of negotiating with the seller...he is selling an Mf230 ..gasoline with a Quick latch loader...all original...the sale includes a Steiger Trailer....he is asking $9500 for the package....it seems high to me, but maybe I am mistaken, so would appreciate any insights
Thanks

Is this the tractor you are looking at? It is listed at 8K on ebay. My recomendation, let the offering expier wait till he reposts for a lower amount. If $8000 seems a fair price to you then wait till the bidding is almost over an jump in at the last second. I bet you will be the only bidder.

That is the tractor..I never use ebay, so never thought of looking there....I happen to live within a few miles of where the tractor is parked. Thanks to all who have given me insights. I will watch the ebay auction and wait until the last minute...or wait until the auction closes and then contact the person directly...again thanks for all the great insights

I guess it depends on what area you're in but around here, a GAS tractor wouldn't be worth that kind of money. Don't remember the 230 being that strong in the front end for a loader either, look for cracks in the bolster/axle pin area. $6500 max and hope the power steering stays good.
