I just purchased this tractor to discover the PTO
is not slipping into gear properly. If you don't have anything connected to the pto shaft, it seams to engasge quite easily but with some light clink. When a load is attached and you try to enage pto lever it just wants to grind unles of course you prefer to damage the gears and slam it in with some force. It seams the clutch may not be fully disengaged. Is there some sort of adjustment that is made or is the problem worse than that?

Allan it sounds like you need to make the pto clutch internal adjustment it has to be made after the clutch pedal free travel has been adjusted a few times. I have a picture that show how to make that adjustment I can E-mail it to you if you want to send me a E-mail address to send it to. It is made up through the hole in the bottom of the bellhousing
