trying to remove rear wheels. what is the center hub part of the wheel and how do I remove it? It looks like it would have to come off first before the actual wheel or is it part of the wheel? it has two "notches" in it, close to each other at the edge. I can not find it in the parts or service book that I have for the tractor. thanks.

Nice picture, Buck. It looks to me like rust and paint have your wheel disc stuck to the (cast iron) hub. You're smart to leave the lug bolts in 'til the wheel is loose enough to remove it easily. I use a 4 lb. sledge hammer and a large round brass drift to rap on the disc between the lug bolts (not hard enough to dent the disc). This to break loose the rust and paint. Then push and pull on the top and bottom of the wheel/tire. Time and patience! I suspect the "notches" are pry points to help bring the disc out once you have it far enough to get a tool in there. (Don't bend the rim). Wish you success!

third party image

I have tried to attach a picture to show the wheel. Hopefully it will work (first time doing this).
As far as the wheel goes, it looks like the center piece is not a wheel wieght (looks very thin). However, it also seems to be centering the actual wheel on the axle, which makes me think it has to come off first.
Appreciate any ideas on removal.
Thanks.

Is it a wheel weight your looking at?

I can't see what you're describing so it's hard to give a short answer. Unless it has some kind of adapter or spacer (as for dual wheels) it should come right off but may have rust buildup between the axle flange and wheel disc (and brake drum if you're going that far). If yours had a two-piece axle/flange, it seems like it would have obvious mounting hardware to remove.
