Hi

Is the hydraulic srainer (is that what there called?) also accesable through the PTO selector plate?

I assume i have to drain the fluid out of the transmission?

Thanks for any replies

Ben

Its only necessary to lower the oil, not to drain it all the way.

What I do is run the left rear tractor tire up on a block of wood about 9" tall to lean the tractor to the right, then a full oil level still doesn't run out the shifter port when uncovered. My tires are set for 60" spacing center to center. If they were set for narrower, the block wouldn't have to be as tall.

Be sure the pick up the bottom cup with the strainer else you may release a blob of stuff you don't want back into the oil.

Yes, go through the P.T.O plate, just drain enough oil to drop the level below the lower edge of the plate.Element should be replaced, not cleaned.
