My 135 was leaking oil from around the adapter on the head where the tach screws in. I put another seal on the adapter and the gasket that goes on it. I ran the tractor for a hour or so and same old leak. I cleaned the adapter up and watched it as the tractor was running and the oil is coming out of a small hole in the adapter plate just under the tach plug. This looks like a hole that was machined in it. Is it suppose to be there? It is as small as a sharpe pencil point. I would like to get this leak fixed and Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

BB

yes, the hole is suppose to be there. Like a weep hole in a water pump. As far as the leak, I'll bet when you put the adapter, you rolled the lip of the seal and the spring popped off. When you take it off again and put the spring back on, use a socket,( i think a 16 or 17 mm ) to put inside the seal to slightly stretch the rubber. Leave it there for about 10 minutes and then put it in just as soon as you pull the socket out before the seal goes back to its normal size. After several times of rolling the lip, I thought of this and have had great sucess with. Good luck, David
