I have a 72 MF165 and need stabilizer bars to keep the hog from swinging side to side. It has the height adj. stubs on the lift arms but has a bolt for the stabilizer bars to hook up which is in front of the lift arm eye. The length I need is about 29 1/4" but I can't find them anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

My MF 165 has the same setup as you discribe. My stabilizer bars mount under the rear fenders and connect to the lift arms approx 4 to 6 inches in front of the lift arm eye. I have the round adjustable stabilizer bars, they have the eyelet on both ends. I saw the same stabilizer bars at Agri-Supply, (local tractor supply company in my area VA). I believe thay have a web page, you can also try Northern Hydraulic, Tractor Supply Co (TSC) and your local MF dealer.

I think you are going to find that the stabilizer must line up with the lift arm eye. My 35 did not and the stabilizer broke while the tractor was sitting still. I think that you are also going to find that the length of the stabilizer (centerline of hole to hole) must be the same as the length of the lower lift arm.

If the geometry is not correct something will break. My stabilizer bracket under the trumpet had four holes.
