hydraulic arms will go up but will immediately drop if any weight is put on them. Was told to replace a pair of O-rings but could not access the lower ones due to a plate welded to the tube so only the upper replaced, it appeared fine. Oil level is full, cannot figure out what to do next except for tearing rear end apart and I am not in a position to do that myself. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here is a quick way to see which one of the twenty or so possible leaking points is at fault, drain just enough of the hydraulic fluid out (about 2.5 gallons) to allow you to remove the right side cover on the rear axle housing (the one next to your right foot when sitting on the tractor, it is the one with the dip stick) hook up some weight to the 3-point, (( Do not reach your hand or fingers in there while it is running, the linkage or pistons could pinch or smash them, or high pressure oil could penatrate your skin)) with the tractor running, raise the lift control (position) lever up to the constant pumping stop and kill the engine while looking into the opening to see where the oil is leaking from, look up under the cover to see how much oil is comming out of lift cylinder which would mean your steel rings on the piston are letting oil bypass them, look just past the opening at the relief valve, if it is weak it will be letting oil escape (that's about the only fix besides the o-rings you mentioned that doesn't require major repairs) If you don't see any big leaks, you may need to rebuild the pump, a badly seated or sticky chamber valve, a worn control valve, loose mounting bolts or about a dozen o-rings will cause this problem! Do you have an Aux. hydraulic adaptor block on the lift cover? If you do, try removing it and putting the stock cover plate back on and see if it continues. Let me know what you find out, just don't mention my bad spelling!!
