You must supply the make of the tractor, to establish a beginning point for identification purposes. If you think your engine was taken from a MF50 just click on the serial numbers link at the left and locate your tractor serial number. If all you have is the engine casting numbers, and don't know what tractor it is from, it may be difficult to positively identify. Have you visited a MF dealer yet with your numbers?

On a similar note: I have a MF industrial, ser. no. 9A 89xxx, 4 cyl gas engine casting no. 37112520/4 A119. It is apparently a 1970 model, I think this is a MF30. How do I differentiate between the Perkins gas and the Continental engine?

Perkins used to sell conversion engines for the Ford 8N, NNA, etc. When Ford developed the Dexta, they made an arrangement for Ford to supply the iron castings and Perkins to do the machining. It's possible you've got an older Perkins engine in your Dexta.

Thanks for your reply cdmm.Iknow about the link up wihth the ford / perkins. The problem i have is trying to find out if eigine is a152 or p3144.I thought i could do this by engine number. The pump on engine is a simms mimmec type ,these were only fitted to 152 as i am aware 62/ 64 engine. If it were an earlyer type ithink it would be a pnemanice type.BRENDAN
