Awhile back I was asking about the corks that seal the ends of the rocker arm shafts. I have since talked to someone who had an MF 202 like mine. He wondered if the oil pressure gauge would indicate loss of the corks, seeing as how its a lot of work to remove the gas tank to get at the cover?

I don't think that missing corks will be indicated by low pressure on the oil gauge. Removing the fuel tank isn't that difficult. Just remove the 4 bolts that secure the tank and disconnect the fuel line. The entire tank should then pull right out with out any other fiddling around.

Oil pressure didn't drop on my MF-135. But the lost corks let the rocker arm bushing wear badly and the passage kind of plugged up so no oil got to the head anyway.
