What's the trick for installing the chains. I just bought a new pair of chains (H pattern) for my Massey Ferguson 135 . Tire size is 14.9-24.

It seems impssible to get the chains tigth enough to stay centred on the tire.

I have been putting tractor tire chains on for about 60 years and I will point out that tractor chains will grip well and cause less tire damage if they are run a little loose. As long as they are tight enough to stay on, just keep your speed down and run them. Good Luck, Ken

Brian.. It sounds to me that your chains are to long however before you start cutting them you should try a search of entire site using "tire chains" as search parameter there should be tons of info on this subject.
Good luck
Gary

Once you have have them on and drive around a bit and tighten them again. Make sure that you have the outer chains (on the sides) thigh enough, I suppose you have locks for that (see page 3 on the broshure (right-hand side, second to last row, prices in Euros) ("TR-ketjun lukot"). That makes it easy to tighten and connect.
