The Crankcase is full of both, oil and deisel. Is it normally the fuel pump or could it be a stuck or broke piston ring. also could it be a hole in the piston. what is the most common cause the crankcase being full of oil and deisel?

I hope you have better luck in this area than I have had. Heres the order I went in. I replaced the lift pump first as this was the easiest, cheapest and most likely source.

Didn't help.

Pulled the injector pump and replaced the seal in the front.

Didn't help.

Pulled all three injectors and sent them and had them remanufactured.

Still didn't help.

I guess next on the list is the injector pump itself, but I'm not ready to take on that expense right yet. I don't use this tractor a whole lot, and I'm just keeping and eye on the oil level and draining and refilling when it gets much over the full mark.

Good luck!
Sam

The most common cause is a bad diaphragm in the fuel lft pump , a small leak won't stop the tractor from running but can thin out your oil pretty quick. Look there first, it is a cheap and easy fix.

That's my first choice also. A very small hole will even allow fuel to seep into the engine when sitting overnight unless you ordinarily shut off the fuel valve.
