Three widely differing tractors. MF 97 was actually a Minneapolis Moline, 504ci engine, drawbar only, hand clutch, sit-WAY-at-the back, old style prairie tractor. Good old sluggers, take it easy on the rear ends. MF 1130, 354 ci turbo, 6x2 Multipower transmission, about 120 hp against the 97's 90 horse. Did not have a great reputation in this neighbourhood. MF 1150, 540ci V8 engine, a ton of power but like all V8's, keep them revving, would not lug through a wet hole worth buns, only drove one for a short time: it was new and it was beautiful. THEN. Would not be eager to buy one now. Same old deal though. One fellow can work with any of them trouble free for years and the next fellow would wreck the best tractor in the world in one morning. Parts? How good is your dealer? A Moline collector told if at all possible, use the AGCO heritage parts system for MF, Oliver, Allis, White, Molines as much as possible. If the company sees the demand, they will make the parts available. If there is no demand, there will be no parts. Good luck. Listen to the other guys, there is great information here.
