I'm thinking about changing the rear seal on my 1958 mf 65. How much work and knowledge will this take? Thanks for any help. blis

The seal is easy-2 piece rope seal that costs about $3. The issue is that you have to split the tractor and remove the clutch and flywheel to get at it. Best to do clutch at the same time. Here is the good part-some dope installed a MF65 clutch in my MF135 shortly before I purchased it. I could let you have a 65 clutch cheap, cheap, cheap if you wish. It has less than 100 hours on it and you can still read the lettering on the friction plate. Also, before you split the tractor to replace rear main seal, ensure that oil isn"t coming from corner of oil pan gasket. See previos comments by good ole" Big Dean. Cheers Kevin.
