I have been hired to dispose of the contents of a closed Massey Harris Implement store. The store was closed in the late 1950's. A lot of the "tractor" items were sold out of it a few years ago. However, there are still some "tractor" items and many implement parts, many concerning combines, available. The majority of these are NEW. There are some manuals, a couple of complete tractors, not running, new tires and wheels. I am not a very mechanical person so I have a limited amount of technical knowledge. I do have many pictures and am able to get more.
At this time I am looking for people that are interested in any or all of these items.
AT THIS TIME I AM ONLY SEEKING TO CONTACT PERSONS THE MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP ME DISOSE OF THESE ITEMS.
THANKS

I would be more than glad to help you with the lugs if I knew where to look and what to look for. I have a lot of the parts but nothing to identify them with.
I personally don't know a 101Jr. from a E 30.
Thanks for the interest.

I don't have the knowledge to tell you which part is which or if I have what you are looking for. There are a lot of parts but no identification guide for them.

Don't we get about five of these per year? Why is
the selling agent always a 'no knowledge' of AG
equipment businessman? Hope it's not another
neglected roof parts shed. These deals rarely get
beyond a second post, to get some photos. Perhaps
this is the rare exception, but eleventh hour
visions of grandour usually cause the parts to simply disappear. If picked through once, for the
tractor parts, imagine the left behind for fifty years complete ones. Best not to get too excited
until this gets past old SP combine belts, teeth
for cultivators, rusted Gens/VR's. We were warned
of a 'sloppy seconds' deal, use caution.

I don't have any visions of grandour, I am simply looking a place or several places to get rid of a lot of Massey parts. I know that most people are interested in mainly tractor parts, but almost all dealers also dealt in parts for combines, plows, etc. So if the tractor items have been picked through, it dopesn't mean that there aren't still some very good parts for other equipment.
Not everyone that is hired to clear an estate is fully qualified in everything that they have to sell.

yes I have heard of 2 of these deals here in Indiana.... well heard of both in Indiana one was in southern Ill.

and its always Massey Harris dealers...

I heard a JD parts dealer tell a story he had once (its true I know for sure) but its always those lucky guys that keep the rest of us hoping.

I was on the butt end of a clean up of a dealer once--- and LET THE GOOD STUFF SLIPP AWAY! I was in school when the good stuff went to the scrap yard and the JUNK ended up in our "parts building" I watched as new heads, gas tanks, tin work, steering gears, manifolds carbs all drove off into the smelter... it was 1980 and I was only a kid with no place to put them and no money to out bid the scrap yard.
