A couple of things: Gas or diesel? How many cylinders, if diesel? My local paper has a gas 35 for sale right now for $3200 CDN, including a 2 bottom Ford plough the guy values at $300. Last fall I paid $3400 CDN for a 3 cylinder diesel in good shape but with one bad rear tire. All other things being equal, a 3 cylinder Perkins is worth more than a 4 cylinder Standard diesel, as the latter have a history of difficult starting. This may mean, however, that the Perkins has many, many hours, and the Standard has hardly been broken in. My mechanic has one in his barn, a 1959, with 1200 original hours on it. I suspect he paid a lot less for it than I did for mine. I don't know how many hours a tractor engine can run and still be in good condition. Mine had almost 5000 before the tach broke, and I have seen 8500 on Whites. The dealer told me their hour meters simply last longer than the others. Deluxe or not? This has to do with live power-takeoff. If the tractor does not have live p.t.o., its value drops significantly. Does the 3 point hitch work well? Those things are expensive to fix. Dealer prices tend to be inflated. People seem to like these particular tractors a lot, thought they are a bit too useful and numerous to be collector's items yet. I hope this helps.
