Ferguson 40 parts availability question

I'm looking at buying a Ferguson 40 (gas) in fairly good condition. I saw on a Ferguson website that there were only 10,000 of these tractors produced. What is the parts availability for these tractors? I think the engine parts are identical to the MF-50 gas so if that's true it shouldn't be a problem, but what about parts for the rest of the tractor? THanks in advance. Castor.

I have two F-40s, one which I just completely restored and and other which is partially done. I was able to get every part I needed. New grills are now available for about $275 for the complete set, including the access doors.

If you need a list of part sources, e-mail me at pnelson239(at)earthlink(dot)net

The F-40 is a great tractor!

Other than sheet metal, paint and decals, that's the same tractor as a Massey Ferguson 50 or a Massey Harris 50. Parts are easy to get for the most part. (as easy as any almost 50 year old tractor anyway) I've got a '56 model 40 and a '57 model 50.
