I am having a problem with the lift getting stuck in the up position. What would be the procedure for bleeding the lines or fixing the problem?

Hi,
Seems like the control valve in the pump might be sticking and not moving into the discharge position when your control lever tells it to. A possible cause is a broken oscillator. This is a little device under the pump which keeps the control valve moving slightly to prevent it 'sticking'. It is made of aluminium and they do fail. If this is the cause there is nothing short of removing the hyd cover and pump. If you drain the oil to the level of the bottom bolt on the right hand side cover and remove the plate you will see two vertical levers. When you move the quadrant levers, these levers will move and so should the pump lever, most of which will still be covered in oil. If no movement occurs then you have a problem with the linkage in the cover.

Cheers
DavidP
