MF265 hydraulic problem

When I have a light weight implement such as my 8' wheel disk the remote hydraulics lift it high off the ground as it should, when I attach a heavier implement such as my 4 row JD planter or my 12' wheel disk the implement wheels travel down till they just touch the ground and stop. I have changed fluid with no change in hydraulic performance. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your pump is getting weak. It could also be that you need a larger diameter remote cyclinder to lift the heavier load. It should be able to lift the heavier equipment with a 3" dia. cyclinder under normal conditions. The lift will be slower with the larger cyclinder. On my MF165 I have two hydraulic pumps in it, one for the 3 pt. and one for aux. cyclinders and multi-power. Go to Big Deans website or email him, he's the expert.

Can you describe the problem in a little more detail. Hard to tell if you are talking about all remote implements, or some 3-point implements. Also, is it not raising all the way or is it not letting implement down all the way. Maybe we can help you.

TomTX: I am talking about the remote hydraulics, the wheels will raise all the way allowing the disk blades to touch the ground and do their thing but when I try to drop the wheels to raise the blades off the ground all that happens is the wheels just touch the ground and raise the blades an 1" or 2" and stop lifting. I know the wheels will drop farther on the disk because when I connect the disk hydraulic hoses to another tractor everything works fine???

Remove the top link and fit a chain, anchored around the back axle but not touching the top link control beam (take it off if necessary). If you can now lift a heavy implement, the problem is with adjustment in the draft spring. If not, get a pressure gauge on the trailer tipping pipe, put tractor into constant pumping. You should be running at around 200 Bar. If the needle goes up and down like a windscreen wiper, or will not hold pressure, you need to refurbish the pump.
