Great looking loader! I can't tell how it's mounted, is there a belly bracket bolted up underneath? I had to fabricate one to fit an old Ford loader to my 165. It was quite an adventure working it all out!

Hi

yes it has a belly plate underneath, veritcal stands bolted to that, then another plate under the front, and diagonal cross members on either side going to the top of the vertical uprights. Certainly isnt going anywhere!

thanks for taking an interest!

Ben

Hi Ben,
The loader looks very good and the bucket seems to be in very good condition. Just a couple of things to keep in mind which may be useful;
The bolts holding the stays to the pillars can work loose or snap. Make sure they are kept tight and they do not 'bottom' as they go into blind holes. Easier to remove a broken 'free' end than one which is tight. The bolts between the pillar and cross-beam also need an occasional check. The 'umbrella' handles on the bucket/fork hooks give a reasonably good life but the plates that they hook into do rust and become easily damaged.
May have mentioned it before but this loader was made by Steelfab in Cardiff for MF. A local MF dealer bought a lot of the parts and loaders when the firm closed and now has a part of the business devoted to loaders. If you need anything for it, try Ted Hopkins on 01633 680754.
Hope it works well for you.
Cheers
DavidP

Not forgetting those 4 bolts that actually mount the cross beam to the transmission hosing. They tend to work loose too.
