I recently purchased a TO-35 that seems to be in fair condition. It needs some fixing up here and there but one thing has me baffled. At the rear of the fuel tank there is a fitting that USED to have something in it. Now it is just a hole (threaded) that pours diesel in my lap when I go up a hill (grin). The return line for the injectors connesct to the bottom of the tank, was this a vent of some sort? The Massey dealer here doesn't know.

Ok, that makes sense. I can plug the fitting since there is no tank (and don't think there is any heater). The sediment bowl is intact under the tank, the line I was refering to comes off the top of the injectors (actually from each to a common fitting) which is probably a bypass or bleed-off line(?) Don't really know enough about diesels but I think I will learn (grin). I have alreay learned how much grief a cracked fuel line can cause!
