I just bought a mf35 d and a mf135 g . The 35 has alot more power then the 135 . Is this normal or can I inprove the power in the gas 135?

They are both 37 HP engines. The 35 was built in the early/mid 60's. The 135 was built in the late 60's to mid 70's. Useage will be a big factor here.

I find that the 35 d can move around in first high idal but the 135 g has to be at about 3/4 thodal so not to stal

Sounds like a sick puppy- check your obvious routes first- spark and fuel delivery. You may also want to have a look at the oil just to ensure it doesnt look nasty. What about bad gas? I would go with spark first- check plugs, wires, points (gap and condition), timing and maybe coil. Then once you know this is ok then eliminate fuel stuff. You odnt want to mess with an old carb until you have to- snd then make certain you know what you are doing- they dont sell them up at autozone. You should definietely be able to run around at idle in first gear or at least not 3/4 throttle. Good luck.
