Does anyone know the spec thickness for a MF 35 Tractor main transmission clutch disk. I have blown out the PTO disc and would like to determine the wear on the main trans disc.

Trans pressure plate looks good and I would like to evaluate the remaining life of the main disc.

Planing to replace both discs and pressure plate unless I run into a supply problem in which case I may only replace the disc.

By the way I now know why the pto was releasing before the transmission from an earlier post.

Thanks

Hi Bill. Just got you're e-mail and sent a reply. Didn't realise you were posting on this board. Hope you are getting to the bottom of your problems. Has the forest fire problems up there eased off some? Take care.

John

Hi John

Weather has turned wetter here and everything has died down for now. Now if only the little Massey was working I could finish getting my fire wood in for the year.

Figured what took out the PTO clutch. The adjusting bolts on the preasure plate arms were loose and the presure plate was not lifting evenly. It was draging the clutch on one side. Got a new pressure plate and discs on order but it will take awhile with shipping to get here. The good thing is that it took out the PTO clutch before it did significant damage to the transmision clutch or the fly wheel.

I wonder if anyone else has had this experience.
