Are there any easy and cheap methods of getting some more power out of these without making them unreliable? What BHP can I expect?
Thanks for now.

I"m with Joe - An 1150 has plenty of power if everything is adjusted right.

I"d suggest checking the following:

1. Clean air cleaner

2. Fuel injectors clean

3. Tappets adjusted correctly

After that, I think you can turn the injector up a bit. But I doubt you"ll need to.

One thing to keep in mnd - The engine neds to be turning about 2,200 RPMs to hit full power. Below 2,000 you aren"t getting all the HP you can.

An 1150 short on power? What do you want to do with it? The 1150 and 1155 had tremendous power for a row crop tractor. If you aren't getting enough you better pull your socks out of the air cleaner. If you want a pulling tractor, twin turbos and more fuel will do the trick. How reliable does it have to be? 100 yards pulling a skid or hundreds of hours on the chisel plow?
