Should I be getting enough fire on terminal post from primary fire at distributor where wire attaches from the coil? What are some possible causes of the problem?

Bebo, youre braver then I am cuz NO WAY do I ever lay my hand on any plug or coil wires, I use one of those plastic insulating holders/pliers to mess with plug or coil wires when shes running.

I gotta agree with Old, sounds like weak (bad or leaky insulation) plug wires cuz in theory if their insulation is good, you shouldnt feel any shock when touched. Get her running at night in the real dark n see if fire is spotted dancing around between any wires n frame???

Thats what is called bad plug wires. Replace them with copper core wires and you should stop that problem, and it will run better also

Initial question is incomplete, should be, I am getting enough fire on the terminal to cause shock when touched with bare hand, should this happen, and what are possible causes?
