MF 3 baler - knotter problem - need help

I have inherited a 1964 MF 3 square bale (twine) the right side knotter seems to cut the end of the string too short and way too often the knot pulls out busting the bale. I can't determine how to adjust the knotter or string cutter to stop the problem. Re-baling the hay gets real old.
Any advice is appreciated.

Alan, I only worked on one of those and thats been many moons ago but very generally speaking the twine knife must be good n sharp to cut the twine as it passes by,,,,, if the knot ties too loose and comes undone, you may wanna try tightening the billhook tension just a tad, but if the knot hangs on the billhook n breaks, loosen it a tad. The billhooks gotta be good n shiney n scoured of course.

Sorry, its been to long
