On my 44-6 thier is a spot in the transmission between R and 2 that if you hit it with while shifts into 2, out of third, or into reverse it will get stuck thier, it is second gear but it isn"t in second gear. It happened to me twice before but i poped the clutch and it came out. This time it is in thier good. I am wonder how to get it out. the only thing is that would have to take the top of the transmission off. Is their anyother idea"s on how to get it unstuck???

When my 33 gets stuck in gear i take the cover off the slide rails next to the imput shaft of the transmission, take out the two bolts and you will have access to the three shafts and should be able to move one to get it loose and it only takes a few minuites to do instead of taking the covers off the trans. hope that it helps it has worked for me.

And while you have the shifter out, braze it back to a normal shape.

How hard is it to take the shifter out and is it fairly obvious what shape it should be.
