Im looking at buying a used 1130 or a JD 4320 I've grown up using mostly deere and IH and have a couple of 20 series deeres on my farm now. The 4320 im looking at is quite pricey for what it is, compared the 1130. The only thing I know about the 1130 is that it's about the same hp as the 4320. What else should I know about the 1130 ggod or bad.

I ever used a 1130 ,but I know for a fact that a 1135 would out work a 4320. I think the 1130 is just a little older..... . if it like my 1135 it is a work horse.

I sold my JD 830 2cyl and the guy should be here with the money on Wednesday to pick it up and pay for it. Then I'll go and get the 1130 hopefully by the end of the week or the beginning of next week I'll have it. As long as no other more pressing farm issues don't come up.

Assuming they both have around the same hours and have had reasonable care, the 1130 would leave the 4320 standing in the dust. Back in 1972 I had an 1130 with a 6x16 plow and my neighbor had a 4320 with a 5x18 plow. We plowed in the same field once and he was so dissapointed with his tractor, he would not plow against the 1130 again. Its a true story.

I only saw the 1130 run on a 782 forage harvester. It sounded like a beast. The owner is gonna let my try it on his 5x16 plows tommarrow.
