1130 overhaul questions

I've had my 1130 for a few weeks now and have put about 30 hours on it snapping corn and doing fall tillage. The engine seems tight(head and turbo were done about 700 hours ago) and has burned no oil since I got it. I wanna make sure that everything is 100% so I have a big tractor to run my bale processor(4020 needs an engine overhaul badly). My question is what tends to go bad in the transmisiion on these tractors? I hear alot about multipower good and bad, mine seems to work fine. There is quite a whine in 3rd gear going down the road and the left brake seems soft, so I do plan on doing a brake job. What other things can wear out, go bad or be looked at while I have the tractor split. For manuals so far all I have is operators and I&T(which don't tell alot), I'm waiting for a service and parts manual.

Third gear will howl. That is the field gear for all tillage. Soft left brake probably needs o-rings inside the left axle. Don't forget to drop the plate out of the bottom of the rear end housing once every year or so to clean the main hydraulinc strainer screen and change the hydraulic filter in front of the radiator twice a year if you change between a lot of different implements. Multipower will not give you any trouble if you keep the oil clean. Remember, it free wheels on the low side. The 1130 will tear the 4020 into little tiny pieces if every matched head to head.

Thanks for the info. Especially about the hydraulic system and brakes. I'll start tearing into it in a couple days. And I agree the 1130 would tear my 4020 to bits, but it's a powershift which means my wife can drive it, and that means alot on busy days.
