I'm completely rewiring my 135 (gas Perkins)and changing to the 3-wire alternator. When I'm done I'll post the diagram for anyone needing it.
I do have 2 questions for those who know.

1. On the connector for the current external regulator, is #4 just a switched power source for the fuel gauge? In other words, do I just need to wire that side of the fuel gauge to my ign. switched circuit so it only has 12v when the key is on?

2. I don't see a resistor or resistor wire on the coil "+" circuit. Dumb question, since I know the answer, but I do need one, don't I? And would you suggest a ceramic or the resistor wire or?

Thanks for any help!

You are right on the wire from the ignition side of the switch to the fuel gauge. The original coils used on the MF135 had the resister made in the coil and does not need one between the switch and the coil.
