Have a 2705 with 24 speed transmission. Intermittanly the powershift lever shakes violently and a grinding noise is heard. It can do this in all gears and all ranges with or without a load. If you push the clutch pedal in and push the powershift lever to the front of the tractor the noise goes away. Sometimes for a few minutes up to many weeks. Other than this the powershift seems to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem with the 24 sp transmission?
Thanks, Andrew

Have you checked all the linkages? I was having a problem once and I thought the tranny was on the way out. Turned out it was just that rubber spider coupling like thing that connects the gear shifter shaft from the cab to the tranny shaft. Took me a while to find. I had to take it apart before I realized it was worn out.

Thanks for the info. Dealer said same thing. He said that there would be a craqck and should be visible from the outside. We inspected it and it appears to be ok from the outside. Was yours cracked or just worn?

Mine was all cracked up. The rubber had turned to glass. But it was hard to see from the outside.
