I have heard of catalogs available for the Ford8/9/2N tractors, does one exist for the Massey's? I am assisting with a 55 T-bird project and the catalog (Larry's) is more valuable than the parts manual or the model specific repair manual. I would be interested in contact info if anyone has heard of one. Thanks Aaron

Downunder and on the web Bareco have good descriptions but do not list prices. I have rebuilt a burnt MF135 and I just gave my local dealer a list of part numbers I required and he looked up the prices ex bareco. Sparex supplied some parts not available from Bareco ie timing case for the Perkins and have some info available online. Bepco also supply parts downunder. MF tractors were built over a long period of time and variations occurred during a production run as well a local variations depending where they were built. Most common parts are available from the above sources. A look at Big Dean Austins site is worth it as he will set you straight re some of the more tricky problems you will encounter.

What model tractor? I bought one right here for a 44-6 and it has been very helpful in getting parts from other sources as well as MF stores. When you go into a MF dealership and already have the old part number looked up, you would be surprized at how much better service you will get.A lot of parts men don't want to mess with the old tractors,so anything you can do to speed up their work will certainly get you better service as a rule.

In the case of my old Massey Harris Clipper combine, the parts book gives dimensions of belts etc. That parts book has been totally invaluable.

The model is a MF 65.

If you are familiar with Virginia Mustang or Larry's T-bird catalogs, they basically are a parts manual except for having prices listed. Not all parts are offered, however most are. You can typically chose between NOS, aftermarket (US), and aftermarket (China) priced accordingly. You can look through the catalog and put a fairly accurate price tag on you project.

It helps decision making and resource allocation. You learn which parts are valueless versus invaluable. Why spend thousands restoring the interior of your 66 Mustang when you can replace the entire interior for about 6-800 bucks?

I am in the beginning of my project and would really like a comprehensive availability/price list to go by. Does Tisco have a catalog?

Regarding TISCO: Yes they do have a catalog but they do not sell retail. Perhaps you can convince your TISCO dealer to let you look through his. I look through the one at my local CNH dealer occassionally.

Nothing like that I know of.The best information you will find is to get connected with a good collector/restorer in your area.Lots of knowledge here at this site too. Some parts reproducers scattered over the country.Post what you need here and hope someone steps forward to answer your question. The tractor restoration industry isn't nearly as sophisticated as cars, but it keeps getting better all the time.
