I have the Continental gas engine and it will do just about anything you need done. Good tractor overall, but I agree that a diesel is a better choice if you have the option. I love mine and used it today to do a little grading on my driveway. The price sounds about right for the tractor.

Quite frankly I myself would not buy any gasoline tractor to use. They just use to much fuel. And at more $2.00 a gallon they cost just to much to run for farming with. A gas tractor will use 2 times the fuel a diesel will. The 135 with 3 cylinder Perkins is a much better buy even if the tractor cost more to purchase.
Now if you use your tractor a little a gas may be acceptable in cost. But remember in many states biodiesel is going to come online soon and this fuel is stated to be up to $.70 less for fram use.
Just somthing to consider.
PS I have some gas tractors too. Just not going to buy any others;))

I gave $4300 for mine two years ago. New rear tires and very few hours on engine overhaul. Good condition overall. It's a Perkins Gas. Sounds like a pretty good deal. Mine does a great job, but I am having a little trouble with my hydraulics on my 3-point being slow and jerky when lifting. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix that without it costing one of my arms or legs, I would appreciate the help.

I have one and it is a workhorse, I gave more than that for mine, go ahead and get it I doubt you regret it. The 135 loves a good days work often.

It sounds like a good price to me. A friend of mine has one that needs some minor repairs and a paint job and he asked more than that for his. He said that the continental gas engine was a good engine.
