Hi I guess we are talking about a Perkins V8 here. I have recently bought a 1150 with the 510 engine which seems pretty good.Have the models you are talking about got the 540 and the 610. Lots of HP I guess. We have a couple of guys over here (Scotland ) who use 1155 for tractor pulling and they do very well against most things including modern high horse power 4x4 machines.
By for now.

My neighbor just bought a 2805 to spread manure with. I went down to take a look at it, as I just did a transmission in 2775 and he wanted my stamp of approval on the 2805 before he bought it. I thought the 2775 was a beast, but that 2805 will just scare ya at idle. That 30ft plume of black smoke the 2805 made when I Loaded it down was just as awsome as the sound. I think if you can get past the transmission problems then these are just awsome tractors.
