Does anyone know if the MF-35 Diesel came with one or two stabilizer brackets? Mine has one on the right rear. My parts manuel does not show either bracket. Do not feel safe using only one especially when bottom plowing. Any help appreciated..... .....

Stabilizers were a parts option. You can
use 1 or 2 but two is best. Be sure the
pin on the bracket lines up quite closely
to the pull link pin. Otherwise they will
wedge and break something. Never use the
stabilizers when moldboard plowing. If the
plow is adjusted by the book it will pull
straight. Chuck

Thanks guys, I too have been told, at one time, to use only one stabilizer bar when plowing. Stands to reason that the plow should have a certain amount of "play" while plowing. I have several TO-30's and in every book I have shows only the chains being used and they had some slack in each of them. Think I will try only the chains and see how that works. Many thanks guys.

Seen 'em with one, seen 'em with 2. Even seen 'em without altogether. A great many came without, and had 1 aftermarket bracket added later.

I was always told not to use stabilizer bars when plowing. A prpoerly set up plow will follow centered behind the tractor, and should be allowed to move from side to side as needed to allow for slight turns.

When using certain (usually heavy) implements, I prefer 2 stabilizers. I've bent one while bush hogging.

I have a 35 P-3 D deluxe. Has 2 stab bars came that way but I like chains much better and going to replace them with chains.

Hi,
To the best of my knowledge stabilizers were an option.....but one of those necessary options.
There should be no problem using only one as long as you don't try and plough around corners. One bar will give a small degree of side swing but two will almost remove it.
