Does a MF-85 have an internal hyd. pump or external? How expensive to repair. 3 point does not work. Thanks, Bob.

I still have the MF 85 my dad bought new and still does a days work. I have a 3 Super 90 diesels, 2 MF 85 gas tractors, one MF 97 diesel. My brother has 2 MF 85 gas, 65 diesel, MF 50 gas, Super 90 LP, Super 90 gas and MF 95. Only replaced 1 hyd pump. The 3 point may work, you need to turn the valve under the seat in or out and lock one hyd lever back.

Not sure. Tractor is at auction. I had a to-20 that had a bad pump, water got into the oil and froze. It was located in bottom of trans. My question is: does the pump come out the bottom or does the tractor need to be broken in half. Does pump run off pto shaft?

i'll tell you what im a massey die hard but i'd pass on that 85 seeing that it's not yours first pump parts are to find and if you find them they might be more then you pay for the tractor also engine parts are few but pricey and the 85 was not all that good of tractor in the first place they had PTO and HYD. trouble from new on

Thank you for your honesty. I have had a To-20 and loved it, just was not big enough. Looking for something bigger, and would like to find a hundred series ford. Those I have worked on. Thank you for your help. Bob.
