Restoring my fenders

I am restoring this old TO 35 (1955) and I need to do the fenders and hood now. Since it is single thickness steel, I have ordered a body molding kit from Eastwood and I am about to learn how to pound dents out with dollies and hammers. I am looking forward to it. Question I have, when I try to take my fenders off of the bracket, I have three "pins" at the bottom of the bracket. They have no head and no nut. How do I go about getting them out so that I can get the fender off of the bracket? I don't want to grind the end off as I would like to reuse it. The rest of the fasteners are bolts with a head on one side and a nut on the other. Anyone have their's apart to help me?

Those rivets are hard to grind out when you are junking the fender, much less saving it. They are the expanding type and don't give up so easily. I did not try drilling, maybe it would work. I used a hammer, chisel, grinder and a punch and it still took me a couple of hours. They weren't joking when they installed those rivets. Replacement fenders go for about 130 or so if you look around. HTH Aaron
