a friend of mine has a 1960's massey fergusion 135...what's a fair price? Her father (who died last year) who owned it for the last 15yrs kept it in a shed he was the second owner.....has only been used to on his 10 acre farm....it's a diesel, has power steering, turning plow, disc (fair condition), landscaping box, dump bucket and small bush hog...she's wanting $4000.....any info is appreciated....I'm trying to help my father in-law find a small tractor...thanks.

That is a very good price here in WV. You would easily pay that for a Gas model, with no attachments. For a diesel, if you came at night and stayed real quiet..... LOL

You didn't say where you were. With the implements you named it sounds like a good deal. That is here in Texas. You can check prices on this site. Look at tractor values listed on the left side of this page. Lots luck.

I bought a 70 model from a fellow up on sand mountain about 4 years ago..... 135, diesel, 2000 actual hours, new tires front and rear,5 foot "bush hog"....cultivator, single bottom plow, 6 foot disk horrow..... and paid quite a bit more than $4000 but it need very little work.

I think the biggest question is how many hours on the tractor, and Was it properly maintained?

In my case, the low hours made it less of a question.....

because of the weather I was not able to go and see the tractor.....besides for the hours are there any other things you noticed on your tractor after you got it home that you wish you would of checked before you bought it? one more thing I really do appreciate everyone's help....I don't have much experience with tractors and it gives me piece of mind when ya'll give me ya'lls opinions.
