I have seen many topics relating to sludge removal and I thought I would include my method. It's a little time consuming, but it works great!

It was a joke. Many people talk about various ways to remove water, sludge, and debris from the case so I threw in some pics of my restoration/refit. This tractor had nearly five gallons of water in the belly under the lube. The planetaries had about a quart each. The vents were plugged and the shift boots were cracked. It destroyed the pump and damaged the differential bearings. Corrosion was nonexistent. My only guess was that the oil sealed the water and kept it from rusting anything. It is in the reassembly phase now, but the pretty parts aren"t back from the body shop yet. It"s a work in progress. Aaron
