Hi everyone, I made the trip home today to try and figure what went wrong the other day when I was bush-hogging.I think the reason why it won't fire is because the fuel line is clogged. I took off the sediment bowl and took out about 1/3 inch of accumulated rust and gunk out of it. Another reason why I suspect its the fuel line is because when I reassembled the sediment bowl to its mount, and when I turned the fuel back on, there wasn't any gas coming out of the tank - so I went and bought gas (ouch) and poured it into the tank and again, nothing poured into the sediment bowl...so I think I have to take the gas tank out and have the rust removed and the tank sealed up and THEN I shouldn't have this problem again. I also discovered by referencing my parts manual that someone in my tractor's 39 years of usefulness retrofitted by splicing the fuel line from the sediment bowl to the carborator, a secondary fuel filter so I think that also gunked up and I gotta figure out what size, etc. they put it in. For the wiring harness issues. I had to jiggle the wires again to get the starter to crank. I checked the loose ends of the wires tightened one, but for the life of me I can't figure out why its doing it. The only reason I can figure it does that because the wiring harness from the starter to the voltage regulator and the ignition passes near the thermostat line and the wiring harness from the generator to the voltage regulator and there might be some interference. Also I the safety switch doesn't have its boot on. The mechanics never put it back on and I don't know what they did with it. Likewise I have more issues I realized, below where the hydraulic remote assembly is (where the pressure port would typically be) there is about two teaspoons of fluid there and there is some leaking from the gasket on the power steering. I don't know if they put PermTranIII in my tractor. I know I should I know does this mean the gaskets have to be replaced or is this caused by usage, e.g. the levers now control the three point draft/response/pressure controls and remotes as they lubricate? I know my tractor has a lot of kinks in it, but when it works it runs like a top and is stingy on the fuel. I appreciate any advice you can give Christos
