Gents, Just bought a 444 RC and it will damn near break your arm steering it, especially in road high. Yes, I bought it sight un-seen. Waiting for manuals. I'm guessing bearing play up front. I've never torn into this end. Would appreciate input. My 44 RC steers like a dream.
Thanks,
Ben

also some times the bolts that holed the gear box down are busted so the hole box will move

most of the time the bearings in the steering gear box are junk from lack of oil and some times the gears are gone also you can try to take up the play with the ajuster on the gear box but most of the time thy are to far gone also the bearing at the bottem of the pedistal between the front wheels are shot from lack of grease. you did not say if you have PS if so your fix just got harder but it's the same parts that are shot

Hi there,
I also bought tractor unseen a 135 diesel, after having it for 3 month I finally got to drive it. It has wheel wobble extremely bad. It will toss you right off it, trying to stop the wobble while it is moving. Is it the same fix as the 444RC wheel wobble problem?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'm waiting for the manuals to arrive, by chance is the problem an easy fix? Or am I going to have to take apart most of the upper end? Which unit is the problem?Again Thanks a million.
Charles

most of the time it's just the tie rod ends that are bad 4 of them 2 on each side
